this is rajesh. i started a discussion with the queries of first aid tricks for heart attacks. but no one responded to me. i don;t know that whether anyone here don't abt them or not intrested in telling them. but i'm requesting everyone again. please listen to me. i want to know some first aid tricks to save anyone's life in emergency.what should we do immediately when any person suddenly gets heart attack at any place?
what can we do there immediately if we are not having any medical facilities at the spot?

| what are the first aid techniques for sudden heart strokes? | | hi everyone...
my name is rajesh . i'm from india. recently my grand father got heart attack in our village.. then after it took 4 hrs for us to take him to hospital as he got the stroke at midnight 1 o'clock. and we didn't had any transportation facilities that urgently. so it took that much time for us. luckily our grand father survived in hospital even after that much late. i don't want it happen again and if happened i want to do something which gives quick relief and primary danger avoidence. so please any doctors or medicine students or any others in this group please suggest me some first aid techniques without any medicines.

| | What are your kids learning about first aid, dealing with emergency situations? | | I'm curious to know what kids are being taught these days in school and at home. When I was in school we had fire drills, tornado drills (midwest), hurricane drills (east coast), earthquake drills (west coast), etc. I was also fortunate to have been a Girl Scout. While in the Scouts, I learned basic first aid. I learned how to treat anything from snake bites to sunburn. I was also instructed in CPR, can build a fire from scratch and dig my own latrine if need be. My father also held fire drills at home on a regular basis. Although I've never really had to use any of these skills, I feel very fortunate to possess them. What are your kids learning? Do you think these skills are important enough to teach them yourselves or are we more in a society of "dial 911" instead? | |
